Role: Motion Direction, Animation & Toolkit
In 2022, I developed a dynamic and engaging playoff package for the Boston Celtics, focusing on enhancing their social media presence during the team's playoff run. The centerpiece of this initiative was a custom toolkit, designed for the internal marketing team to easily produce custom graphics for all social media platforms. I made the toolkit available for both After Effects and Premiere users, providing easy-to-use MOGRTs in addition to a conventional AE project file.
The toolkit embraced a unique aesthetic characterized by a handmade feel, incorporating elements such as paper tears, tape cutouts, and a poster-style backdrop. This approach aimed to convey a sense of authenticity, resonating with the city of Boston and its passionate Celtics fanbase.
It was a privilege working with a historic organization like the Boston Celtics and a true bonus considering I grew up a lifelong fan here in Massachusetts. Their creative team is extremely talented and communicative, and we fortunately had an opportunity to work together again the following fall on their '23 Regular Season package.
